About me: Orhun Cercel

My aim is to help you regain and maintain good health, both physical and mental. I have been practicing holistic healthcare for over 25 years. I specialise in offering meditation training, acupuncture, herbal treatments, and counselling. Initially I studied Social Sciences at Cambridge University and worked in banking, but decided to change my career in 1992 to healthcare. I am a member of three professional organisations: The British Acupuncture Council, The Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine and The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Acupuncture: I am highly experienced and able to treat a large range of conditions. I qualified in 2002 and have a BSc in acupuncture from Portsmouth University. Since then I have worked for many years both in private practice and also in the NHS at the Gateway Clinic. Currently I also work as a clinical supervisor at the student acupuncture clinic of the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. I have diplomas in Chinese Herbal Medicine and Tui Na (from the LCTA and Westminster University), both of which I practice along with acupuncture.

Meditation: I began meditating in 1990 and have undertaken many trainings since then in a huge range of meditation techniques. I have taught hundreds of students in Europe and America. In 2008 I lived in Gampo Abbey in Canada for a year and studied meditation in great detail. I regularly go on retreats and teach retreat programmes across Europe.

Counselling and coaching: I have seen very many clients over the years for many different conditions. I obtained my first diploma in counselling in 1999 and have been practicing since then. I also have a diploma in psychoanalytic psychology from London University. I work privately, but have also worked in various specialist agencies in the past.
